A crash between three vehicles caused delays on the M20.

The smash happened shortly before 2.30pm between junction 4 for Leybourne and five for Aylesford.

No one was seriously injured, but police closed the motorway briefly so vehicles could be moved from the carriageway.

KCC Highways tweeted saying traffic built up from junction 4.

James Walker, a Kent Police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to a three vehicle collision at 2.26pm.

"At present no serious injuries have been reported.

"Officers did briefly close the motorway to allow some vehicles obstructing live lanes to be safely moved however this closure has been lifted.

"One lane closure remains in place."

The road was open and delays had cleared by 3.45pm.
