A GIRL of three who was found seriously injured beside her dead mother after the pair fell from a block of flats has been taken off the critical list in hospital.

The girl's mother has now been named as 33-year-old Maxine Carr, of Hawley Court, off London Road, Maidstone. She died at the scene from multiple injuries.

It is still not known whether the mother jumped or fell accidentally from the flats with the child.

Police are continuing their inquiries into the tragedy which happened in the early hours of last Friday.
