Tommy Warrilow is mulling over a decision on whether to give new-boy Chris Henry his delayed Tonbridge Angels debut in the Ryman League, Premier Division at home to Tooting on Saturday.

Henry signed on transfer-deadline day from Carshalton last month but has been unable to play because of a hamstring injury. He was due to train on Thursday.

Warrilow (pictured) said: "Chris was in my thoughts when I brought Fraser Logan back from Hastings but then things changed at Carshalton after their manager left and we made the move to sign him.

"He can be a real pain to teams with his pace and skill, can play wide on both flanks and I could also put him up front as well.

"We have got another game against Hendon next Tuesday, so I have got to wait until he comes through training before deciding what to do."

Canvey’s win at Folkestone on Tuesday knocked Tonbridge out of the play-off places for the first time for weeks but Warrilow is unconcerned.

He said: "We just want to keep our heads down, concentrate on ourselves and stay in contention. Other teams will dip up and down between now and the end of the season."

John Beales and Lee Browning are still troubled by knee injuries while Tonbridge are waiting for news on Lewis Taylor. The midfielder was out with a long-term knee injury and has had a scan.
