Commuters warned of delays and cancellations due to signalling problems on Maidstone East train line

Train passengers had to endure cancelled services and delays on the Maidstone East line.

Southeastern said a signalling problem meant that services were not able to run at all on the line just before 3pm.

The operator confirmed Network Rail staff were on site attempting to fix the issue.

Just after 4pm, Southeastern confirmed that services were able to run as normal through the affected area near Lenham, due a temporary fix.

But the provider advised commuters they can still expect to face some delays or cancellations while the service was recovered.
