A man and a woman have been taken to hospital following a crash this morning (Monday).

The two were travelling in a car when it collided with another vehicle at the junction of Frittenden Road and Park Wood Lane, Staplehurst, at about 9.15am.

A police spokeswoman said one of the casualties had complained of leg pain.

At 11am, the road was still closed while officers from the Highways Agency cleared an oil leak from one of the damaged cars.

Kent Fire and Rescue attended after reports of a person trapped in a vehicle but everyone was out by the time a crew from Marden arrived.
