Two people have been taken to hospital after a 'disturbance' in a residential street.

Police and paramedics were called to Marsham Street in Maidstone around 12.25pm today.

When they got there, they found a man and a teenage girl nearby who needed medical attention.

They were both taken to local hospitals by paramedics. Their injuries are not believed to be serious.

Onlookers said they saw a police van and two unmarked cars at the scene.

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
