Two people have been taken to hospital after a town centre attack in the early hours of this morning.

The air ambulance was called to the Knightrider Street area of Maidstone at around 4.30am after reports two men had been assaulted by a third man.

Officers had to put in place road closures

Kent Police attended the scene, where the pair had been attacked with what police describe as “a metal object”.

Officers had to put in place road closures to allow the air ambulance to land.
