YEAR 13 students of St Simon Stock, School, Oakwood Park, Maidstone, descended upon the magical setting of Leeds Castle for our sixth form leavers ball last Thursday. The warm evening ensured that this would be an unforgettable night.

We arrived at 7pm, in the luxury of limousines and were in awe of the setting as we immediately stepped into the Fairfax Hall. The atmosphere was electric, with everyone looking very glamorous in their new outfits.

The three-course meal enabled us all to sit together to reminisce or just to absorb the atmosphere. The food was delicious and complemented the whole evening. As you looked around you did not need to ask if people were enjoying themselves, as the hall was filled with the noise of laughter and endless chatter.

We all took to the dance floor, teachers included, after our meal. Whilst we were dancing the castle provided the perfect backdrop.

Without doubt that this year's leavers ball will be a memory which we will all take with us, whether that be to university or to the world of work.
