A vaccination clinic on board a bus will be stationed at a food festival in Maidstone this weekend.
Covid-19 jabs will be on offer in Mote Park where the FreeWheelin' FEASTival is being staged.
It is a similar set up to the bus based at The Open at Royal St George’s in Sandwich, where 1,635 people took the opportunity to get their jab.
The Maidstone walk-in clinic runs over July 24 and 25. On Saturday it is open from 10am-7pm, Sunday hours are 11am to 6pm.
Both first and second doses of the vaccine (Pfizer and AstraZeneca) are available, no appointments are needed and it is open to everyone aged 18 and older.
However national guidance is for the second dose to be a minimum of eight weeks from the first.
ID will be required as proof of age.
The clinic is part of the NHS Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group’s #GrabAJab service.
Maidstone council is working with the NHS to support the campaign and is encouraging anyone who hasn't yet had the jab to visit.
FreeWheelin' FEASTival will feature street food vendors, childrens' entertainment, live music and al fresco dining. Entry is free.
Cllr Martin Round, chair of the Economic Regeneration and Leisure committee said: “I would encourage anyone in the area to take advantage of this opportunity to get their vaccination, if they haven’t done so already.
“The Covid-19 vaccine programme is recognised as the next step to recovery offering an essential layer to protect yourself and your loved ones and still appears to be the best defence against the virus.”
Dr Navin Kumta, Clinical Chair of NHS Kent and Medway CCG, added: “It’s important everyone eligible receives the Covid-19 vaccine and that is why we have been organising extra clinics.
"It’s not too late to get your jab and this mobile clinic in Mote Park provides easy access for everyone over the age of 18. No one needs to book – just turn up and get a jab.”
Anyone unable to attend a walk-in clinic can still book online here or can contact their GP.
