The windows of six cars were smashed in what police think was a one-man vandalism rampage through Paddock Wood.

Police say a stick or bat was used to break the windows of cars in Tutsham Way, Cogate Road, Laxton Way and Allington Road, between Wednesday August 5 and Thursday August 6.

Neighbourhood officer PC Lara Winchester believes the trail of destruction was left by "someone local" as they made their way home in the early hours of Thursday morning.

She added: "It was a completely mindless act and the sort of anti-social behaviour we want to put a stop to in Paddock Wood. Someone will have an idea about who is responsible and I would ask them to let us know so we can move this investigation forward quickly."
