A vehicle fire has caused part of a busy road to be blocked.

Traffic is halted on the Northbound A249 at Detling Hill, near Maidstone, due to a blaze at Pilgrims Way.

Drivers are facing delays following the incident which started at around 7.30pm.

Emergency services have been contacted for more information.
