There were delays on Blue Bell Hill last night after a vehicle caught fire.

One lane was closed on the Chatham-bound carriageway around 4.15pm while emergency crews attended.

The fire was in the cab of a Land Rover owner by the National Grid, and two fire engines were sent to deal with the blaze.

It is believed the driver of the vehicle smelt burning from under the seat, which developed into a fire once they had stopped and exited the vehicle.
