Queuing customers were greeted to a new muffin store by Vic Reeves and Nancy Sorrell today.

The celebrity couple, from Charing, unveiled Maidstone's new Muffin Break.

Hamed Qayyum owns the new cafe, following his success in Ashford.

The franchise owner said: "I feel we've chosen the right location for the community, our products have a great range and we bake everything from scratch.

"Vic Reeves is a regular at the Ashford store with Nancy and the kids, they pop in every other Sunday."

The comedian stood alongside his actress and model wife as she cut the opening ribbon.

Asked if he was glad to help open the store, the 59-year-old said: "It's been a long-standing dream."
