Victim of rail line tragedy is named

A YOUNG man found dead on the railway line near Buckland Road, Maidstone, has been named by police.

He was 25-year-old Mark Latimore, 25, who lived in Cornwallis Road at Maidstone.

His body was discovered on the railway line under the bridge at the end of Buckland Road on Thursday, December 16, by a group of students on their way to school.

A post mortem examination showed he died of multiple injuries. The British Transport Police are not treating the death as suspicious. An inquest has been opened and adjourned.
