Donkeys are known for being stubborn but demanding which language they are spoken to in seems a step too far.
However, Dora the donkey, who arrived at the Museum of Kent Life in Sandling two weeks ago, will only budge if coaxed in Romanian.
Despite a previous career as a farmer, museum director John Jordan found it a struggle to persuade the pair to respond to any commands in his Glaswegian accent.
He demonstrated for our reporter Angela Cole how the stubborn pair continually dig their hooves in in their field when coaxed in English.
