Neighbours of Peaches Geldof gathered in their village church today to say prayers for the tragic 25-year-old and her grieving family.
About 40 people filled St George's Church, in Wrotham, to pay tribute to the socialite daughter of Bob Geldof, who was found dead at her house in nearby Fairseat Lane, on Monday afternoon.
Before the normal Sunday service began, members of congregation bowed their heads and prayed for Peaches and her loved ones, including husband Tom Cohen and their two young sons, Astala and Phaedra.
The Reverend Canon Brenda Hurd said: "Obviously we're all very shocked one member of our community who has died suddenly at such a young age and leaving such a young family.
"We said prayers for Peaches, for her husband, for the children and for Sir Bob and all of his family at this very distressing time which it must be. It's very hard to imagine what they must be going through. It must have been devastating for the family."
Rev Hurd said there had been a feeling of sadness in the village since the tragedy and added people were surprised to discover the young mother lived in their community.
She added: "Most of us didn't know she was here but that's the case with many celebrities, they come out to the country for privacy and I think we have to respect that.
"I think we were shocked on two counts, one that she lived here and two, that it was such a sad event."

Peaches, who grew up in Faversham, is the daughter of Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates.
Police, who were called to her five-bedroom house just after 1.30pm, are treating her death as "sudden" and "unexplained" - but not suspicious.
Peaches' body was released to her family on Thursday so funeral arrangements can be made.
A post-mortem examination has proved inconclusive and further toxicology tests, which could take several weeks, are being carried out.
