Four military medals have been stolen in a raid on a house.

The theft happened in Garden Close, in the Senacre area of Maidstone between 1.30pm and 6.45pm on Tuesday.

The medals were in a silver frame, and included one awarded for long service in the navy.

Some of the medals are believed to have been awarded during the Second World War, with the naval medal awarded later.

Two other pieces, awarded by the Scouts, were also taken. They are a Silver Acorn and a Medal of Merit.
