Witness appeal after British Transport Police car crashes on Tonbridge Road, Maidstone

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses to a crash involving a British Transport Police (BTP) car in Maidstone.

The force's Vauxhall Astra collided with a white Ford Focus in Tonbridge Road, close to the junction with Cherry Orchard Way, at 3.10pm yesterday.

The BTP car is understood to have been responding to an emergency call at the time of the collision.

The two officers in the car were taken to hospital but no serious injuries were reported.

Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538 quoting 137/16.
