An elderly woman was taken to hospital after taking a fall in Maidstone town centre this afternoon.

Paramedics were called to King Street at 1.20pm, after a woman in her 70s fell off the kerb outside cosmetic retailer Lush.

An ambulance crew treated her at the scene and she was taken to Maidstone Hospital for further assessment.

Paramedics left shortly after 2.30pm.
