POLICE are investigating after a girl of 17 was kicked and beaten in an apparently unprovoked attack.

The victim was waiting with a friend on grass opposite the Safeway supermarket in Sutton Road, Maidstone, when the incident happened.

Two girls grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to the ground, before kicking and hitting her. She was taken to Maidstone Hospital for scans and X-rays and has been left bruised and scared by the ordeal.

The incident happened at about 8pm on Thursday, November 11. Witnesses are asked to call Maidstone on 01622 608189.
