A FIRE at a Kent property that left two people in hospital is being treated as suspicious by police.

Several items, including a laptop and cash, were also stolen prior to the blaze, which happened at around 5.15am on Tuesday in Hayle Road, Maidstone.

Emergency services were called to the scene and two men were taken to Maidstone Hospital. Their injuries are described as non life-threatening.
