Distinctive antiques have been reported stolen and detectives are appealing for information to help track them down.
An elderly man has been left 'in a great deal of distress and anxiety' after thieves smashed a window of his Maidstone home while he was inside.
They are then believed to have taken decorative vases, a wood carving of a person and a large cabinet with drawers.
The break-in was in East Street, Hunton and is said to have taken place either last Wednesday or Thursday.
Maidstone CID Detective Inspector Jon Faulkner said: "This has caused a great deal of distress and anxiety to a vulnerable victim, who was at home when the burglary took place.
"The items stolen are fairly unique and distinctive and are likely to be of interest to a niche market, only.
"They were heavy and relatively large and a vehicle would have been needed to move them.
"If you saw anything suspicious around this time or have been offered items for sale matching these descriptions, please contact us immediately."
