Earle gets stuck in at the Apple and Cider Festival

One of Kent’s longest standing traditions will
be celebrated at this year's Apple and Cider Festival this
weekend.

Live demonstrations will give visitors the
opportunity to see how locally grown apples are made into delicious
fresh juice using Kent Life's antique apple press at Sandling.

For those who like their apple juice with a
kick, visitors will also be able to try and buy a range of ciders
as well as famous ales, lagers, wines and spirits.

John Jordan, Kent Life's director, said: "The
Apple and Cider Festival heralds the culmination of the very
English tradition of apple picking and we aim to celebrate this in
all its glory.

"We are privileged to be able to grow some
very tasty apples on the Kent Life site and, using our traditional
equipment and techniques, can turn them into gloriously sweet
juice”

For the real apple fanatics, over 30 different
varieties of apples, all grown in the Kent Life gardens, will be
available to crunch and buy.
