Armed police were called to a village last night.
Officers attended a house in Upper Street, Leeds, where they found a man had suffered an injury.
He was taken by the South East Coast Ambulance Service to a London hospital for treatment.
The incident happened at 8.50pm last night.
Police said they were answering a call due to a concern for the welfare of a man at the address.
The armed officers attended as a precaution and were not needed.
A spokesman for SECAmb declined to give details of the patient's condition, saying it was a private matter.
