A man has been arrested after another man was taken to hospital following a stabbing.

Emergency services were called to the incident in Knightrider Street, Maidstone, following reports of an assault.

Police attended a property in the street at around 2.30pm yesterday.

Inside, officers found a man with a single injury consistent with a stab wound.

He was taken to a London hospital for treatment where his injuries are described as not life-threatening.

A 47-year-old man from Maidstone was arrested later the same day in connection with the incident.

He remains in custody while inquiries are ongoing. The suspect and victim are believed to be known to each other.
