A goal in each half earned Maidstone a 2-0 Ryman League Premier Division win at Ashford Town (Middlesex) on Saturday.
The opening goal came in the 29th minute when Jermaine Darlington drove at the defence from the left-back position and, although his shot was parried by keeper Craig Ross, James Pinnock slammed the rebound into the roof of the net from a tight angle.
It was 2-0 on 69 minutes when the ball fell to Matthew Wright after a scramble in the box and he kept his composure to skip round a defender and finish.
The Stones could have had a third - but Nick Barnes's excellent free-kick crashed back off the crossbar.
