West Malling's Ashley Jackson is hoping to steer England to the 2010 World Cup

Ashley Jackson has been named in the Great Britain Mens Hockey squad for the 2010 Champions Trophy in Germany later this month.

The 22-year old midfielder from West Malling, who has won a total of 89 caps for England and Great Britain, scoring 50 goals, is included in an 18-strong party for the tournament which starts in Monchengladbach on July 31.

England qualified courtesy of their fourth place in the World Cup in India in March, their highest ever finish on foreign soil.

They start against the host nation, and also face Spain, Australia, Netherlands and New Zealand.
