Ashley Jackson made it five goals in four games with a brace as England overcame hosts India to become the fist team to book a World Cup semi-final place.
The West Malling star netted in each of the opening group stage wins against Australia, South Africa and Pakistan before notching twice in the 3-2 victory over India in Delhi on Saturday night.
James Tindall put England ahead on 16 minutes and after half-time Chatham-born Jackson, a former Tunbridge Wells player and Sutton Valence School pupil elevated a penalty corner shot past the Indian keeper to double the advantage and added a second five minutes later to make the game safe.
India pulled back two consolation goals in the closing stages.
England now face Olympic silver medallists Spain in their final group game on Monday with their European rivals needing victory to stand any chance of reaching the last four.
This is the first time since 1986 that England has progressed to the knockout stages of the sport's major event and they could face EUropean rivals Holland or Germany in the last four.
