A 14-year-old girl has been arrested for allegedly punching the manager of a fast food restaurant.
Violence erupted at the new McDonald’s drive-thru off Barker Road shortly after midday on Tuesday, after a group of rowdy youngsters were asked to leave.
A manager tried to usher the gang out, at which point he was reportedly punched in the face, causing his glasses to fall off.
His attacker was then said to have stood on them, causing them to break, before leaving the restaurant.
Police were called and a girl was later arrested on suspicion of assault, and criminal damage.
She has been bailed until August 17.
