A teenage boy was taken to hospital yesterday after he was assaulted in Maidstone.

The 16-year-old was knocked unconscious in the attack which happened at about 3pm in Kingsley Road, Maidstone.

An ambulance was called and the boy had regained consciousness by the time it arrived. He was taken to the Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury.

His injuries were not thought to be serious and he was released the same day. Police are making enquires into the incident.
