Aylesford Bulls go into Saturday's promotion play-off against Trojans determined their superb season will not finish on a low note.
After an arduous London 2 South East campaign, the Bulls face one final game at home to the Hampshire side, with a place in London 1 South at stake for the winners.
Skipper Sam Carroll is confident his side will be able to raise themselves after the disappointment of last weekend’s 16-10 defeat to Stoke at Twickenham in the final of the RFU Intermediate Cup.
Carroll said: "Trojans is going to be a big challenge but we are looking forward to it. It is a huge opportunity for us, another big occasion. We don’t lose twice in a row, that’s not us. There is a lot of determination in the squad to put it right.
"We were already talking about this game on Saturday night. Last week is in the past, there’s plenty of time to fully reflect on that after the season and I doubt the word Twickenham will even be mentioned in the pre-match meeting."
Following the end of their 15-match unbeaten run, Carroll said the Bulls were in for a tough match against a Trojans side who have been able to rest since last month.
He said: "Trojans have been waiting six weeks for this so we fully expect them to come out fast in the first 10 or 20 minutes. It will be intense and physical, I’m sure."
The game kicks off at 3pm.
