Matthew Ford continued his impressive end-of-season form as he clinched the Keith MacDonald Memorial Match Play title.

Bearsted golfer Ford, pictured right, who won the Southern Masters in September, defeated PGA South Region Order of Merit leader Andrew Raitt in the final.

The Marriott Tudor Park man was in fantastic form at Hampshire’s Tylney Park Golf Club to win 4&3 in the final.

Ford said: "It was a good match. I played nicely all week and after the four rounds I was about 20 under par."

Ford is enjoying a good run of form as he looks to finish in the Order of Merit’s top five places to get a Challenge Tour ranking for 2010.

"I tend to play well at this time of year," he added.

"I’ve got a busy month or so – with the Srixon PGA play-offs, the second stage of European Tour qualifying school and my first child is due next week."
