Tonbridge scored two goals in the last five minutes to rescue a point a Billericay.
The visitors played poorly for long periods in Essex but late strikes by Frannie Collin and Ben Judge earned them a fourth draw in six Blue Square Bet South games.
Making his full debut, Mark Lovell gave the Angels a second-minute lead. However, Billericay levelled on eight minutes through Nathan Green, before Rob Swaine scored to put them 2-1 in front at the break.
Glenn Poole struck just before the hour-mark to extended Town’s lead and it looked like the game was drifting beyond the reach of Tommy Warrilow’s side.
However, the introduction of Rory Hill and Nathan Koranteng from the bench changed the complexion of the game. When Tonbridge were awarded a penalty on 85 minutes, Collin scored from the spot and Judge then popped up to equalise in stoppage-time.
Despite the fightback, Tonbridge are still winless this season. They go to Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday.
