A great-great-grandmother has broken into the list of England’s 150 oldest living people as she celebrated her 107th birthday.
Cecilia Larner, from Tovil, received yet another birthday card from the Queen and enjoyed her favourite meal of fish and chips to mark the momentous occasion.
Hannah Booth, Mrs Larner’s great granddaughter, revealed the centenarian is in good health and enjoyed her celebrations at the Newnham Court Inn.
The 30-year-old said: “She is now officially the 150th oldest person in England. She is a pretty special woman.
“Last year she told the photographer who turned up that she will see him the next year and she is really confident she will be here next year.
“She loves going to Newnham Court and the Harvester and her favourite meal is fish and chips which she had on her actual birthday.”
Mrs Larner, a former office worker for a pharmacist, has one daughter, three grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

She lived through the Second World War and can recall vague memories of the aftermath of the Titanic’s sinking.
Mrs Larner was born in Croydon and grew up in Dartford and was given flowers and cards to mark her latest milestone birthday.
Miss Booth said: “The card from the Queen comes every year now and she is so proud of it. She has got a bit of a collection now.
“She always likes a game of cards. We got her a special card holder as she has arthritis so she can still play and hold the cards in a fan shape.
