A 23 ft sailing boat is believed to have been set on fire while moored on the River Medway.

Police are appealing for information after the blaze near the High Level Bridge at Fairmeadow in Maidstone between 4.30pm and 5pm on Sunday, August 30.

The boat is a blue cabin cruiser that was named Malibu.

It is not yet known how the fire was started.
