Police have found a body in the search for a missing 17-year-old girl.

Emoke Stephani, from Maidstone, went missing from the Tonbridge Road area at around 10.40am yesterday (Friday).

Today a spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Following our appeal for information yesterday, officers searching for a missing 17-year-old girl in Maidstone have sadly located a body.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and our thoughts are with her family and friends.”

Police said officers were called to Mote Park yesterday evening where the body was located.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
