POLICE have revealed the name of a woman whose body was discovered in undergrowth by a man walking his dog.

She was 55-year-old Robin Bamforth, who lived at Giddyhorn Lane, Allington, near Maidstone .

Her body was discovered beside playing fields off Castle Road, Allington, on Saturday, October 28.

Mrs Bamforth was seen leaving her home on the morning of Friday, October 13 and had not been seen since.

The cause of her death is yet to be established, however police are not treating it as suspicious.

Supt Steve Corbishley, deputy area commander for the Mid Kent Area, said: “Our sympathies are with Mrs Bamforth’s family at this difficult time."
