Fire crews were called to the scene of a bonfire at Detling which got out of control

Fire crews tackled a bonfire which got out of control at Detling.

Two crews and a water unit were called to the site at Detling Aerodrome Estate at 3.13pm.

There were reports that a large plume of black smoke could be seen from the nearby M20.

The fire had spread to some rubbish, tyres and the rear of an articulated lorry. A further vehicle was also damaged.

Crews uses two hose reels and a hydrant to put out the fire which took an hour.
