Outspoken ex-Apprentice contestant Katie Hopkins has 'won' the dubious honour of being burnt at the stake this weekend... or at least her effigy is!
The businesswoman, who speaks out strongly on anything from working mothers to parents who name their children after places, has been picked as Edenbridge's annual 'guy'.
Tipped as a Big Brother contestant for next year, Katie has also controversially said "fat children" need to be told they are overweight and forced to address the issue.
She recently hit out at Gerry and Kate McCann after the Crimewatch appeal for their missing daughter Madeleine, accusing them of hiding away a report into the investigation for five years.
But the TV pundit also sparked outrage when she lashed out at Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas, who went bankrupt despite his reported £90,000 salary.
She branded the actor "a little boy" with an "exceptionally small" brain.
Her effigy shows her putting her foot in her mouth, with a message on her dress rubbing out the words 'think before you speak' and replacing them with 'speak before you think'.
But this morning the commentator was taking the notoriety on the chin: she tweeted 'anyone looking for inspiration for their guy?'.
Katie follows in the illustrious footsteps of other national figures of hate or ridicule chosen in previous years.
These include shamed cyclist Lance Armstrong, footballers Mario Balotelli and love cheat Wayne Rooney.
Edenbridge Bonfire Society, which organises the annual event, has also allowed Katie Price to go up in smoke and even ex-prime minister's wife Cherie Blair.
The burning of the effigy starts at Saturday at 8.30pm in the recreation ground, after a torchlight procession.
