A young boy was arrested after an alleged assault in Maidstone town centre.

Kent Police was called to reports of a disturbance involving a group of people, near High Street and Gabriel’s Hill.

The incident happened at 3.50pm yesterday and the 12-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assault.

He has since been bailed pending further inquiries until Sunday.
