A 13-year-old boy has appeared before a court accused of robbery and assault.

The charge follows an alleged incident in which two other boys, one aged 11 and the other 13, had a cigarette thrown at them and a computer game stolen.

The court was told the alleged incident happened in College Road, Maidstone, at about 3.30pm on October 31 and the police began an investigation.

The accused boy is due to appear before magistrates for a plea and directions hearing on January 14.
