Two broken-down vehicles caused tailbacks through Maidstone town centre this morning.

A bus broke down blocking one of the lanes on the Loose Road at just after 7am this morning.

The vehicle had been travelling towards Park Wood.

A car also broke down just after 9am also on the Loose Road, at its junction with Armstrong Road, on the Maidstone bound carriageway.

Police said there had been no reports of any crashes or other incidents which could have contributed to the traffic delays.
