A broken down car caused delays for drivers in Maidstone today.

The vehicle was blocking one lane of the town's one-way system in Bishops Way, near to the junction with Mill Street.

The obstruction was reported to Kent Highways just before 8.30am.

The incident caused heavy congestion for drivers heading in and out of Maidstone.

The vehicle was removed at around 9.45am.
