The boy wandered out into traffic

Motorists faced heavy delays this morning when a broken down lorry blocked one lane of a busy carriageway.

Queues quickly started to build on the A249 Detling Hill, heading towards the M20, after the vehicle came to a stop just after 7am.

All lanes reopened at 8am but congestion took longer to clear.
