Three vehicles pulled up in Well Street, Maidstone, at the junction with Wheeler Street, and were seen speaking to a man.

One staff member at a corner shop nearby thought a fight had broken out and someone seemed “drunk”.

But, the force said the call was a false alarm.

A spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 7.50pm on Monday. Officers attended and spoke to a man who lived at the address.

“No offences had taken place and no arrests were made.”
