A burst water main partially flooded the M20, closing one lane near West Malling.

The damaged pipe running along the bank at the side of the road spread water over the M20 coastbound at J3 for the M26.

The damaged water main has now been repaired by engineers from South East Water.

The incident caused long delays in the area.

The A249 between Sittingbourne and Sheppey has been closed for nearly two weeks due to a burst water main and a sink hole.
