A bus stop shelter has been wiped out...after a bus caught it as it was pulling away.

The accident happened in Sutton Road, near Morrisons, in Maidstone at 9am today.

Fortunately nobody was injured in the collision, but shattered glass was left strewn across the pavement in the aftermath of the crash.

The collision also caused the roof of the shelter to fall to the ground.

The stop is used by buses from Arriva and Nu Venture, but it has not yet been confirmed which firm was involved.
