A man was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire in the early hours of this morning.

The small blaze was caused by an electrical fault at a business in Bellingham Way, Larkfield at about 3.15am.

Two crews from Maidstone and one from Larkfield were called to the fire and were on the scene for 40 minutes.

The blaze caused minimal damage.

The man was given oxygen at the scene and taken by ambulance for precautionary treatment at Maidstone Hospital.
