A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a motorbike on the A249 at Detling Hill.

The accident happened just before 8am and closed a southbound lane between Scragged Oak Road for the County Showground and the Detling turn-off at Pilgrims Way.

Two police cars and two ambulances were spotted at the scene.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with a minor injury and the carriageway was reopened just before 9am.
