C-diff report due to be published

A REPORT which is widely expected to be critical of hospital bosses is due out tomorrow.

The Healthcare Commission report into two outbreaks of Clostridium Difficile (C-diff) at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS trust, will be officially published tomorrow following a year-long investigation.

The commission has spoken to dozens of people affected by the diarrhoea superbug, which claimed the lives of at least eight people, last year.

The report’s publication follows the departure of the trust’s chief executive, Rose Gibb, last Friday, by mutual agreement between her and chairman James Lee.

She has been replaced by interim chief executive Glenn Douglas.
